Regency Encounters is an event planning company specializing in creating events concentrating on the Regency era.

Based in Edmonton, AB, Canada, Regency Encounters plans outings and caters to weddings and other private events with balls, dancing lessons, as well as you can rent, make, and buy Regency era clothing.

A few upcoming events include a Pride and Prejudice themed ball set for June 9th at The Fairmont Palliser in Calgary, AB. and a four-day long event which they are styling as one of the biggest Dungeon and Dragons game ever happening at a castle in France! Regency Encounter’s website shows tickets are still available why the website for the event says it’s sold out. So, if you’re interested, make sure to contact them before planning your travel.

Word on the street is, okay via a Jane Austen Centre’s most recent newsletter, Regency Encounter plans on putting together a Kickstarter to entice Austen  fans from around the world to buy Lockington, the home used as Longbourn in the 1995 adaption of Pride and Prejudice. The Kickstarter is set to begin in May or June but I was unable to find any additional information other than the bit from the newsletter.
